Mark Ehrenreich, Training Team

After earning a BS in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University and an MBA from Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo, Mark spent over 15 years as an Educational Specialist with Cisco Systems, where he traveled the world teaching courses on technology to groups of national and international students in both live-classroom and virtual-classroom settings.

Teaching was always the best part of Mark's first career. When his daughter was born in early 2015, he stepped away from the corporate world to focus full-time on his ability to connect with students and to help people learn. He started A Guide by Your Side, working privately as a math, physics and chemistry tutor and guitar teacher for students in elementary school through graduate school. Mark enjoys working in close collaboration with parents, teachers, counselors and principals to help students meet their personal and scholastic goals.

In 2016, Mark joined as a consulting trainer for Community Matters and their Safe School Ambassadors┬« (SSA) program. Mark is dedicated to empowering students and adults to use their wisdom, kindness and compassion to lead by example and to make positive changes in the social-emotional environments that surround them. He wants to help our next generation of leaders spread the values of acceptance, tolerance and mutual respect throughout our world.

When not teaching, Mark enjoys surfing, kite-boarding, being a husband and father, playing music and working with his family outdoors on their mini-farm and homestead in Sebastopol, CA.
