Brett Naftzger MA
Southern California Program Coordinator
Brett Naftzger’s Bachelor’s degree in economics from Purdue University and Master’s degree in public administration from Baruch College in New York City, where he was a National Urban Fellow, have given him a solid foundation for both organizational communication and development work. Brett began his career as a Public Ally in the program’s inaugural year in Chicago. His subsequent experiences as a Program Director for an after school program in Chicago and as a YMCA Executive Director in El Paso, Texas, contributed to the hands-on knowledge that makes him excel at assisting managers, directors, and organizational boards and planners of educational and social service organizations.
Currently living in Los Angeles, California, Brett is working with Community Matters, a California-based, national youth development and educational nonprofit, and its flagship program, Safe School Ambassadors®, as the Southern California Program Coordinator. He also works with clients throughout the USA through his private consulting company, Actuate Professional Services (www.actu8.org). Actuate PS is dedicated to helping individuals, nonprofit organizations, and for-profit businesses clarify and reach their goals by providing affordable writing, targeted research, strategic planning, and personal coaching for executives, managers and board members.
Recently, Brett has focused his work to be with and for nonprofit organizations. With that rare combination of a keen business sense and skilled writing, he has assisted large and small organizations in variety of ways. Some of Brett’s clients have been the Getty Museum and the Chicago Public Schools. |
