Introduction to Restorative Practices & Strategies to Implement in the Virtual Classroom

This interactive virtual training provides an overview of the theories and principles of Restorative Practices. This training is for staff and administrators. There will be time for Q & A. The training lasts 2.5 hours with a maximum of 30 participants.

Using engaging activities, participants will develop skills for immediate application in virtual classrooms and understand how to integrate theory into practice. This includes creating agreements, utilizing affective statements, facilitating community building circles and responding restoratively to conflict and misbehavior.

Participants will be able to convey an understanding of Restorative Practices and support parents/caregivers in harnessing the power of Restorative Practices to create productive online and home-schooling environments.

Handouts will be provided via email prior to the training.
