This training provides a road map for a common sense SEL approach that promotes “connection” as the most effective strategy for meeting the needs of students, while not overwhelming staff with another program or initiative.
It is designed to engage all staff in understanding the benefits and importance of developing and implementing a social and emotional “safety net” for all students.
Option 1: 3-Hour Virtual Training: Attendees will receive resources, tools and activities, all of which can be easily implemented within the structure and flow of the school day.
Option 2: 6-Hour In-Person Training: In addition to the resources listed above, this training will provide extra time for discussion and practice.
Option 3: Customized Consulting Services: For schools wanting a more personalized approach and one-on-one support in developing, implementing, measuring and managing their SEL efforts, Community Matters offers customized consulting services. This service includes:
- Review plans and policies and identify the gaps
- Recommendations for strengthening existing efforts
- Identify potential SEL funding sources
